BoB reveal freighter contents

In a more light hearted piece of news, BoB pilot Amthrianius of Destructive Influence, claimed to reveal the contents of the DICE / BoB freighters which arrived in H-PA, with the above snapshot.

If the contents are indeed close to the above, perhaps BoBs target isnt D2 but Guritas sovereignty itself!

Thanks for your contribution Mr Amthrianius.

Morhus Mihi / Razor - Update

Morsus Mihi

This alliance, controlling some of the primary routes north such as Tribute, has been playing its part over the past few days in the defence of the North. Issuing the initial warning of the BoB incursion, they have been operating fleets along the length of the 'pipe'*. Extensive fixed bubble camps at key bottlenecks have also been placed by this alliance, with security at key empire entry poitns also beeing provided.

MM is a major player in the Northern allainces and its importance was demonstrated last year when the the north allies whent to thier aid during the failed attempt by TCF to sieze the Tribute region from them.

Razor

Based out of Tenal, Razor are not to be sidelined in current events. Unconfirmed reports suggest that they have recieved a war declaration from MC. At the same time, Razor was born of a core of PvP corps and the oppurtunity to become involved in such a large scale conflict will be most welcomed. Small razor gangs have been seen operating in Tribute and the tenal / tribute bridge.

notes:

*'Pipe' or 'The Pipe' - term used in the north for route running Taisy/M-O to 9-2 systems and beyond. often used to also describe Torrinos route.

IRON

As has been quite correctly pointed out by FotoFlame of Exodus, I have omitted to mention IRON in my summary. A key part of the northern allainces, they are also a primary target of BoB.

Last summers probing attack by BoB, entitled a holiday by BoB, was against the G/IRON regions of the North. It can be expected that BoB was able to evaluate the viability of assaulting the north via that route and subsequently found the better strategy to be to assault through venal.

An attack via that route is not ruled out of course, after BoB so publicly removed RISE from the Ring regions, it was a very public statement of intent. Time will tell which direction BoBs primary assault will ultimately choose.

Journal of the Norther Conflict

Introduction

I have followed the politics and history of the 0.0 alliances in eve for some 3 years, of only academic interest generally I have decided to publish my Journal on Galnet during this conflict, to keep a fair and balanced history of the coming conflict between D2 and BoB, with their collective allies.

Sadly the truth of what occurs in conflicts of this scale are obscured, often by the ceaseless propoganda and personal attacks that characterise the communication channels of eve. Often as not the propoganda dominates so much, it is the only form of news that the wider community recieves. BoB understand this well and use this as a major part of thier war strategy.

It is not my intention to undermine that propoganda, but I am interested in the truth and sharing it, I do not expect this journal to have a wide audience, just those who share in my passion for eve history.

Sources

The question of where information is sourced from is normally one of the primary means of discrediting facts which may cast one or other side in a negative light, normally to aggressively bury a galnet communication in such accusations.

I have several active sources, Pilots in D2 corps, pilots in BoB and pilots in several supporting allies on both sides. These relationships have been built up over a number of years, based upon trust and my use of information from these pilots in a fair and balanced way. I also witness many of these events directly.

My reports are collated from all these sources, plus kill boards of course, so that I may arrive at a clear picture of events and avoid any accusations of inaccuracy or bias.

Conjecture

I will also be very clear in my pros about matters where I am conjecturing about events or future possible events

Summary

Finally, please enjoy the Journal and make comments.

First moves in the grand game

Wednesday finally saw the beginning of something which many of us have awaited for a number of months, Band of Brothers has begun its attack upon the Northern Alliances. Mid week saw some 70 or more DICE main battle line vessels, plus support vessels and freighters make thier way to H-PA in venal.

For those of us who are students of history, this is the same system that DICE pilots, in their previous incarnation as the 5 alliance, used to launch thier attack upon the Pheonix Alliance.

The move itself has been long awaited, with those who thought it would be sooner and those who thought it would be later. BoB forces have not made any attempts since thier arrival to instigate any major engagements, though Mercenary Coalition in their traditional role as BoB support organisation has declared against D2 and its various allies.

Friday saw MC forces become active in the empire region between Jita and Taisy, at the same time D2 despatched several fleets across the northern region, with a number of attempts to force a decisive engagement with local pirate coporation, Toxin*, based out PF-Q. Toxin would not be drawn into battle, so thier local POS position was assaulted.

In the meantime, BoB forces have remained quiet, if standard BoB battle tactics are to be expected, a large scale capital assault upon a single or number of D2 outpost systems can be expected at some point over the weekend.

D2 itself seems not to have been idle during this early 'phony war' period, shifting substantial assets into H-PA itself. A decisive engagement of the two sides in H-PA can be expected, on a strategic level, the immediate path of the war will be dictated by events in H-PA in the next few days.

A series of decisive victories by BoB will mean a push northwards and bitter combat in Branch. Decisive victories for D2 will weaken BoBs bridgehead, perhaps forcing a redirection of BoB's attack. More likely, perhaps, is grinding trench war in H-PA for the forseeable future.

Notes:
* Toxin or Outbreak - Pirate Corporation based out of venal from the later half of last year, replacing Russian Thunder Squad (RTSQ) and Burn eden (BE) as regular pirate force in Tribute / Venal / Branch. Toxin is actually the corp ticker, though northern residents will normally refer to them as Toxin.
